2012 USA Olympic Archery Team

Congratulations to the newly selected members of the Olympic Team! I am proud to say that I worked with each and everyone of the athletes on the podium...very cool. I look forward to rooting them on from a distance and am content in knowing I did my small part. These folks are really great individuals who will represent the USA in fine fashion, both on and off the archery field! GO USA

Standing in their shoes...

The Acupuncture Therapy community donated 40 pr. of shoes to the Soles4Souls shoe drive! Another generous effort, give yourselves a pat on the back! This organization will deliver our shoes to individuals locally and internationally, who need them far more than we do.

Acupuncture Therapy now has a Facebook page! Please check it out and LIKE it to receive updates directly to your news feed.

National Athletic Training Month

Most of you know that I am an Athletic Trainer, but many of you really don't know what that means! Athletic Trainers are health care professionals who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and sports-related illnesses. We are the first line of defense in the battle against concussions, heat related illnesses and other life threatening situations that occur every single day in athletic competitions. Athletic Trainers are educators of coaches and parents, and most importantly, advocates for the best interest of their athletes.

March is National Athletic Training Month. If your school employs an Athletic Trainer, this would be a great time to make an effort to say "Thank you!" If your child attends a school that doesn't employ an Athletic Trainer, this would be a great time to ask your AD, "Why not?"
